Groundwater Analytical provides a detailed standard report format, which is acceptable for most state environmental regulatory programs.
We offer electronic data deliverables (EDDs) for a variety of standardized and custom formats.
Reports are also available in specialized regulatory formats, such as MA DEP drinking water forms, MWRA SMART, and US EPA CLP forms.
Standard Data Package
Our standard report format consist of the following elements:
Cover Letter The cover letter indicates the date of the report, the client for whom the work was performed, the client's name for the project, the client's reference number for the project, and the sample receipt date for the project.
Sample Receipt Summary The sample receipt summary indicates the field identification for each sample received, the date of collection, the number and type of containers, tracking information for each container, the type of sample preservation, tracking information for preservation chemicals, and the analyses assigned to the sample(s).
Analytical Results The analytical results for each method of analysis indicates the client's field identification of the sample analyzed, the client's project name, the client's project reference number, the sample container type, the type of sample preservation, the date of sample collection, the date of receipt by the laboratory, the date of preparation for analysis, and the date of analysis. The analytical results also indicate a complete list of target analytes, the observed result, and the applicable limit of quantification. Data requiring qualification is identified and footnoted. Surrogate compound results are presented, where applicable.
Project Narrative The project narrative provides observations about the samples and data that in Groundwater Analytical's opinion may affect the client's use and interpretation of the data. All changes to the original work order submitted with the project are also documented in the project narrative.
Chain of Custody Record A copy of the project chain of custody record is provided with the report.
Quality Control Results The results for all applicable preparation batch blanks and laboratory control samples are provided for all analyses contained with the project.
Quality Assurance and Certification Statements A brief statement outlining major elements of Groundwater Analytical's quality assurance/quality control program, and a summary of Groundwater Analytical's state certifications are provided in each report.
Report Delivery
All reports are issued via U.S. Mail. Standard turnaround reports are issued by ordinary first class mail. Priority and Rush turnaround reports are issued by U.S. Priority Mail. Other delivery options may be available upon request.
Reports may also be either emailed or faxed upon request. Copies of reports may be sent to third parties, upon prior arrangement.

Groundwater Analytical can provide electronic deliverables in various formats, such as CSV or Excel files. Our Information Systems department is available to customize electronic deliverable formats to meet specific client needs. Electronic deliverables are made available through use of the secure client access pages of this website.
